What We Do
Music Festivals
At The Crowd Care Company, we understand that festivals are more than just music — they’re vibrant, high-energy communities. But big crowds and big vibes can sometimes come with big risks. That’s where we come in. Our presence at music festivals across New Zealand is all about supporting people and enhancing wellbeing.
We work alongside event organisers, medical teams, security personnel, councils and police to ensure that festivalgoers are cared for in ways that go beyond the basics. Whether it’s providing chill-out spaces, resources, food, or one-on-one support for someone in distress, our crew is there to make sure people are safe, seen, and supported.
We’re not security, we’re not medics — we’re the in-between. The human layer of care. The calm in the chaos.
Our approach includes chill zones for rest and recovery, roving intoxication teams to check on vulnerable individuals, non-judgmental and inclusive care for everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and a proactive presence in collaboration with onsite services.
Festivals should be unforgettable for the right reasons. Let’s make sure of that — together.
University Events
At The Crowd Care Company, we know that university life is about more than lectures and late-night study sessions — it’s also about connection, celebration, and navigating independence. With that comes the need for smart, student-focused support.
Our team partners with student associations, halls of residence, and event organisers to help make university events safer, more inclusive, and more enjoyable for everyone. Whether it’s Orientation Week, student balls, or on-campus events, we’re there to support students.
We offer: Chill-out spaces and support hubs at large events, roving intox teams to identify and assist those who may need Peer-based, non-judgemental care with a focus on wellbeing. Collaborative support alongside security, first aid, and university staff custom harm reduction strategies designed for student life
Our goal is to help students have fun — and get home safely. Because when care is part of the plan, the whole community thrives.
New Year’s Events
New Year’s celebrations can bring excitement, energy—and sometimes risk.
When alcohol and party culture collide, incidents can escalate fast, impacting not only attendees but the wider community. That’s where The Crowd Care Company steps in. We partner with local councils, event organisers, emergency services, venues, and businesses to deliver crowd-focused care and wellbeing services in event hotspots.
